6.5 lakh Ansar members to be deployed at polling centres during national election: Ansar DG

About 6.5 lakh Ansar members will be deployed at polling centres across the county during the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud said today (23 August).
For this purpose, 1.8 lakh new Ansar members have been freshly trained and prepared, he said while addressing the closing ceremony of the 5th phase of General Ansar Refresher Training-2025, held at the Ansar Academy in Kaliakair, Gazipur.
The DG further said that a mobile application will ensure round-the-clock communication with Ansar members stationed at every polling centre, enabling immediate action against anyone attempting sabotage.
Calling upon Ansar personnel to carry out their duties with honesty and utmost sacrifice, he emphasised that advanced training is being arranged to strengthen the force.
Only those who successfully complete the training will be deemed fit to serve in the Ansar force, he added.
