6 crude bombs recovered, defused in Dhaka's Darusalam
According to CTTC sources, the Bomb Disposal Unit, acting on a tip-off, recovered the six crude bombs from a residence around 12:35pm.
The Bomb Disposal Unit of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today (18 November) recovered and defused six crude bombs from the Darusalam area in the capital.
The Media and Public Relations Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police confirmed the matter via a press release.
According to CTTC sources, the Bomb Disposal Unit, acting on a tip-off, recovered the six crude bombs from a residence around 12:35pm.
Prioritising public safety, the unit subsequently and successfully defused all six crude bombs safely at the golar tek field area under Darussalam Police Station around 2:25pm.
Following the neutralisation, the recovered evidence was handed over to the Darussalam Police Station for taking of necessary legal action.
