30 railway staffers questioned over Brahmanbaria train crash

A probe committee interrogated 30 railway staffers of different levels including the loco masters of the Turna Nishita and the Udayan Express over the death of 16 people in early Tuesday's Brahmanbaria train crash.

The committee led by Nazmul Islam, chief operating superintendent of the railways (East), questioned them at Central Railway Building in Chattogram on Wednesday.

Nazmul Islam said, "We took deposition of 50 staff members of different levels of the railway including two loco masters, guards, attendants, and linemen.  But it is clear that, the accident took place due to the disobeying the signal."
