48th special BCS written exam for doctor recruitment to be held on 18 July

The written exam (MCQ type) of the 48th special BCS for doctor recruitment will be held on 18 July.
According to a press release issued by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) today (1 July), the two-hour-long exam will begin at 10:00am and end at 12:00pm.
Each MCQ will carry 1 mark, and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer, the press release said.
In the 48th special BCS, the exam will carry 300 marks in total. Of this, a 200-mark written test will be conducted in MCQ format, and the viva voce (oral test) will be worth 100 marks.
Earlier on 29 May, PSC published the circular for the 48th special BCS, aiming to recruit 3,000 doctors.
Among them, there are 2,700 vacant posts for assistant surgeons and 300 for assistant dental surgeons.
Previously, around 9,000 doctors were recruited through the 39th and 42nd special BCS exams.
