A Dhaka court yesterday (20 June) sent to jail three individuals including YouTuber Tipu Sultan, in a case lodged under the Copyright Act over the piracy of Shakib Khan and Sabila Nur starrer 'Taandob'.

The two others accused in the case are Sadi Saad alias Sagor and Sajedul Islam.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque passed the order after police produced the trio before the court at the end of their two-day remand and pleaded to keep them behind bars until the probe is complete.

Earlier, on 17 June, the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain placed the three accused on a two-day remand.

According to the case documents, the pirated version of Eid-released film 'Taandob' was uploaded online in full HD quality by Tipu Sultan and his associates.

Film producer Shahriar Shakil filed the case with the Banani Police Station on 16 June.
