3 killed, 2 injured in truck-easybike collision in Chuadanga

At least three people, including the driver of a battery-run easybike, were killed and two others injured after a collision with a fuel-laden truck in Chuadanga sadar upazila tonight (4 July).

The accident occurred in front of the 6 BGB Battalion headquarters in Jaforpur, Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khaledur Rahman told The Business Standard.

"The collision resulted in severe injuries to several passengers. One of them died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries shortly after being taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. The third victim died while undergoing treatment," the OC said.
He added that the bodies have been kept at the hospital's morgue.
Dr Al Imran Jewel, on-duty physician at the hospital's emergency department, said, "Both the injured are under observation."
