According to the charge sheet, around 50-60 members of the banned student organisation allegedly gathered in Gulistan on 26 March, intending to disrupt Independence Day celebrations, threaten public safety, and engage in destructive activities.

A Dhaka court has ordered three individuals, including former deputy religious affairs secretary of the banned student organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Moniruzzaman Babu, to be sent to jail in an anti-terrorism case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibuzzaman rejected the accused's bail requests today (15 August) and ordered to be sent to jail, according to court sources.
The other two accused are Rashedul Hossain, alias Bulbul, former joint general secretary of Ward-27 Awami League (Tejgaon); and Shahnewaz, alias Dalim, former joint general secretary of Asashuni upazila Awami League in Satkhira.
Police had requested the court to place the three accused in remand. Their lawyer, Farzana Yasmin Rakhi, appeared in court seeking bail for them, which the court denied.

It also said that police confirmed the participants were active members and supporters of the banned group based on their slogans and activities.
The accused allegedly attempted to organise a gathering with anti-government slogans, aiming to undermine law and order and cause significant disruption.
