25 ASPs served show-cause for 'disrupting training'
Twenty-five assistant superintendents of police of the 40th BCS batch have been served show-cause notices reportedly for disrupting training at Police Academy in Sardah, Rajshahi.
In an order signed by Superintendent of Police Tanvir Salehin Emon on behalf of the academy's principal on Sunday, the ASPs were asked to explain why they should not be sent to the higher authorities for disciplinary action.
Assistant Inspector General (Media) of Police Headquarters Enamul Haque Sagar confirmed the matter, saying they have been asked to submit explanations due to a breach of discipline.

The show-cause notice states that during the training on 26 November, they started walking randomly instead of running, and disrupted others' training.
Even though they were told to run, the 25 did not pay attention and spoke disrespectfully. They also encouraged others to break discipline, which disrupted the training programme, according to the notice.
The notice further states that such activities and behaviour such as disobeying lawful orders of the authorities, negligence of duty and breaking discipline, are tantamount to misconduct.
"In view of your such activities and behaviour you have been directed to submit a written statement within three days of receiving the notice explaining the reason why you will not be sent to the higher authorities for taking action against you," reads the notice.
Earlier, the Police Academy authorities cancelled the appointments of 252 sub-inspectors in two phases. They were also initially given notices to provide an explanation, and later discharged.
