10 more arrested for assaulting police officer in Patenga Sea Beach

Patenga model police station has arrested 10 more individuals in connection with the assault on a police officer and looting of belongings in the Patenga Sea Beach area.
According to police, the arrests were made in the early hours today (2 March) from an under-construction building in the Panchlaish area in the City.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ganpati, 57, Hamidur Rahman, 30, Rohan, 20, Arif Pramanik, 35, Rabbi, 35, Shuvo, 19, Jibon, 26, Rumel, 30, Rezaul Karim, 45, and Siam Sheikh, 18.
Confirming the arrests, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patenga model police station, Shafiqul Islam, said that the victim police officer identified the arrested. "Meanwhile the arrested also confessed their involvement in the attack. The arrested individuals are being presented before the court for legal proceedings", he added.
