60.14% turnout recorded across four Lakshmipur constituencies
Among the constituencies, 60.64% of votes were cast in Lakshmipur-1, 60.65% in Lakshmipur-2, 60.65% in Lakshmipur-3, and 58.62% in Lakshmipur-4.
Voting in the 13th National Parliamentary Election concluded across Lakshmipur's four constituencies with an overall turnout of 60.14%, while district officials report that polling took place without any major chaotic incidents.
However, the calculation for postal ballots is still pending.
Lakshmipur District Election Officer Md Abdur Rashid provided the turnout figures around 5pm today (12 February).
Among the constituencies, 60.64% of votes were cast in Lakshmipur-1, 60.65% in Lakshmipur-2, 60.65% in Lakshmipur-3, and 58.62% in Lakshmipur-4.
A total of 1,605,021 voters are registered across the four seats, including 788,366 female voters.
Lakshmipur-1 (Ramganj) has 274,261 voters, including 136,246 female voters, with 93 polling centres.
Lakshmipur-2 (Raipur) has 483,962 voters – 239,049 female and 244,908 male – across 151 polling centres.
Lakshmipur-3 (Sadar) has 434,605 voters, including 220,730 male and 214,070 female voters, with 130 polling centres.
Lakshmipur-4 (Ramgati-Kamalnagar) has 412,193 voters – 213,291 male and 199,001 female – across 122 polling centres.
Although 29 candidates were allotted symbols across the four seats, 11 candidates from BNP, Jamaat, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Islami Andolan, and NCP created a significant impact in the electoral field.
