Houthis say they attacked Riyadh, Jazan region, and Aramco facilities in Yanbu
The statement came after Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted six ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis towards the southern province of Taif and the Yanbu area on the Red Sea.
Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group said on Thursday it had launched missile and drone attacks on what it described as "a sensitive target" in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh, on Saudi military sites in the southwestern Jazan region, and on Saudi Aramco facilities in the Red Sea city of Yanbu.
The statement came after Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted six ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis towards the southern province of Taif and the Yanbu area on the Red Sea.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group had also launched dozens of ballistic missiles and drones at Saudi military sites in the southwestern Jazan region, targeting command centres, weapons depots and missile launch sites, including facilities in Al-Tuwal and Al-Daghareer.

He claimed the strikes were "accurate and direct", causing hundreds of casualties and setting several Saudi weapons depots ablaze.
There was no immediate Saudi confirmation of an attack on Riyadh or of damage or casualties in Taif, Yanbu or Jazan.
