Delhi Police stop Kejriwal and AAP colleagues from marching to Modi’s residence
Kejriwal, along with former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, AAP leader Jasmine Shah and other party leaders, was stopped at Feroz Shah Road in central Delhi, well away from Modi’s residence, amid heavy police deployment and security barricades, forcing the protesters to squat on the road.
Delhi Police today stopped senior opposition leader and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders from marching towards the residence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to submit petitions against blending petrol with ethanol.
Kejriwal, along with former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, AAP leader Jasmine Shah and other party leaders, was stopped at Feroz Shah Road in central Delhi, well away from Modi's residence, amid heavy police deployment and security barricades, forcing the protesters to squat on the road.
The AAP began the march with around 100 people to submit the petitions against the government's policy of promoting petrol blended with ethanol, alleging it was adversely affecting vehicle owners.

Kejriwal, the former Delhi chief minister, alleged the government was imposing ethanol-blended fuel under pressure from the US. He claimed people were facing problems because of ethanol-blended petrol and appealed to the prime minister to halt its rollout.
