Ralph Lauren faces boycott calls for featuring Israeli actress Gal Gadot

Ralph Lauren is facing fresh criticism after featuring Israeli actress Gal Gadot in a glamorous new fashion spread, prompting boycott calls from some pro-Palestinian social media users.

The luxury fashion house shared images from Gadot's September 2026 Modern Luxury cover shoot on Instagram, highlighting the Wonder Woman star in pieces from its Fall 2026 collection, including gilded eveningwear.

According to IBTimes UK, several users called for a boycott of Ralph Lauren following the post. One X user described the response as "massive calls to boycott Ralph Lauren."

The backlash largely centres on Gadot's Israeli background and her previous service in the Israel Defense Forces, where she completed two years of mandatory military service before pursuing her acting career. Her public comments about Israel have also previously drawn criticism from pro-Palestinian activists.

The controversy has brought Ralph Lauren into the wider Israel-Gaza boycott debate, although the social media reaction does not establish that the company has taken a political position on the conflict.

Gadot's Modern Luxury cover story focuses on her career, motherhood and upcoming thriller The Runner. Photographer Tal Abudi shot the feature at The Jaffa Hotel in Tel Aviv. Ralph Lauren supplied one of the looks, while other images feature brands including Saint Laurent and Max Mara.

The fashion house has also faced scrutiny over its commercial ties to Israel. According to IBTimes UK, Ralph Lauren has a licensing relationship with Israeli apparel manufacturer Delta Galil and maintains a retail presence in the country.
