Tel Aviv has been hinting at regime change in Iran since the beginning of this attack in the Iran-Israel war. The United States and Israel are openly threatening to assassinate Iran's supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This context is reminiscent of an old incident from six centuries ago.
