China held its largest military parade in history on September 3. The parade, which marked the 80th anniversary of Japan's formal surrender in World War II, was attended by world leaders. Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un were also present. But the most notable absence from the parade was Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
