Tehran residents have a maximum of two weeks of running water in their storage
A prolonged drought has left Tehran with a severe water shortage. The city's main source of water, the Amir Kabir Dam, is only 8 percent of its capacity, enough to supply the city for a maximum of two weeks. The lowest rainfall in a century has created a humanitarian crisis in the capital. President Pezeshkian has warned that the situation is even worse in reality.
