How did the United States help prevent an Iranian attack?

Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, the United States has actively assisted Israel in shooting down multiple ballistic missiles launched from Iran on June 13. Iran carried out the retaliatory strikes in response to Israeli attacks on top Israeli military leaders and nuclear facilities. The USA military directly assisted Israel in repelling those attacks.
