Even with billions of taka, the crisis of clean water has not been resolved
The Chittagong Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (CWASA) struggles to meet the demands of 7 million people by treating 50 crore liters of water daily from the Karnaphuli and Halda rivers. During the dry season, the salinity in the water increases due to the rising sea level caused by global climate change, which disrupts water production and exacerbates the water shortage crisis.
