Why does India restrict the export of jute products from Bangladesh?
India has once again imposed a new ban on the import of Bangladeshi products. This time, the import of four types of jute products from Bangladesh through land ports has been stopped. These products can be sent to India only through the Navseva port in Mumbai. A notification in this regard was issued by the Office of the Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India on July 11 and it came into effect immediately.
