143 kg of gold seized in seven months!
In the last seven months, 143 kg of gold, worth about Tk 200 crore, has been seized in Bangladesh. Even after the political change, gold smuggling has not stopped. Smuggling continues regularly through the border and airport. In most cases, the carriers are caught, but the main culprits are out of reach. Experts say this is causing loss of revenue and foreign exchange.
