US-Iran diplomacy faces a setback after Donald Trump rejected Iran's peace proposal aimed at resolving the conflict and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices rebounded, while regional security risks and supply concerns remained. Meanwhile, Middle East crude exports reached 12.8 million barrels per day in September, with Strait of Hormuz shipments recovering to around 7.4 million barrels per day.
