Congo in new Ebola crisis, death toll rises
The rare Bundibugyo Ebola is spreading rapidly in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The World Health Organization says the risk across Africa is high but the global risk is still low. So far, more than a hundred suspected deaths and hundreds of infections have been reported. The biggest concern is that there is still no effective approved vaccine against this Ebola strain. However, Oxford University is working on a new vaccine and the WHO has declared the situation a public health emergency of international concern.
