China's economy not hit by Trump's tariff war
China's economy has performed better than expected. The country's economic picture in the April-June quarter says so. Official figures on July 15 showed that China's gross domestic product (GDP) in the world's second-largest economy grew by 5.2 percent in the quarter. This exceeded the 5.1 percent growth forecast by analysts in a Reuters poll. Although the growth rate in the first quarter was 5.4 percent, the result nevertheless showed China's stability despite economic pressures.
