TikTok and Cameo join forces to boost creator earnings
The collaboration allows US creators to send personalised Cameo videos directly to fans through the short-video app. It aims to help creators boost their earnings while making it easier for fans to request and access these videos.
Chinese short-video platform TikTok and US video-sharing platform Cameo have announced a new partnership set to transform how creators connect with fans and monetise their content on TikTok.
The collaboration allows US creators to send personalised Cameo videos directly to fans through the short-video app. It aims to help creators boost their earnings while making it easier for fans to request and access these videos.
Creators can now sign up to offer personalised messages directly within TikTok, providing followers with seamless access alongside the content they already enjoy. For creators already on Cameo, this integration expands their reach to a broader audience.
This move strategically taps into TikTok's vast creator community and its large, engaged fan bases. Cameo CEO Steven Galanis noted that "Cameo videos frequently go viral on TikTok" and that "TikTok creators had their best year ever on Cameo in 2025."
Franklin Ramirez, TikTok's Director of Global Product Partnerships said, "The new Cameo integration brings highly personalised experiences directly into TikTok, giving creators another way to connect one-to-one with their communities and monetise their content."
TikTok has long been a creator-centric platform, offering multiple ways for fans to engage, including tipping, sending virtual gifts, subscribing, and using the newly launched "bulletin board" for creators to share public messages with their followers.
