Parliament speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury MP has laid the foundation stone of Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center in Pirganj, Rangpur.
She unveiled the foundation stone in an online ceremony from Dhaka on Thursday.
Dr Shirin Sharmin said, "In this age of competition, there is no alternative to technology education for our youths to survive. In order to build a technology driven nation, we want to take advantage of the devices that are accessible for today's youths."

"Rangpur has always been a neglected area, but the government is working relentlessly for the development of the people of this region," she added.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak was the special guest of this event.
"Work is underway to set up Sheikh Kamal IT incubators and training centres in 11 more districts. As per the instructions of prime minister, these initiatives will spread out in every district of the country in phases," he said.
