a2i, Synesis IT receive ‘Global Excellence ICT Awards’

The a2i and Synesis IT Limited have won 'Global Excellence ICT Awards' this year for bringing technological solution in serving citizens during the pandemic Covid-19.

The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), a consortium of associations from the ICT industry across the world, handed over the award to a2i and Synesis IT limited on Saturday noon.

a2i served the citizens through 'Covid-19 Telehealth Service' and got the award for their excellence in healthcare service.

This year, the award is provided in nine categories, including three new ones. Of them, a2i received the award under 'Covid-19 tech solution for cities and localities' category.

During the virtual award declaring ceremony, Chief Strategist e-Governance of a2i and focal point of Digital Service Accelerator Farhad Zahid Sheikh, WITSA's President Engineer Mrs Florence Seriki MFR, among others, participated in the occasion.

During the pandemic, a2i, supported by ICT division, USAID, and UNDP Bangladesh, served the country people giving health advice and direction in an innovative way using information technology. This effort is also significant to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the country.
