The ongoing heatwaves across Bangladesh have dramatically reshaped the air conditioner market, and we are seeing demand surge at an unprecedented pace. To respond effectively, we have scaled up our production capacity significantly and are running our manufacturing facilities at full capacity. At the same time, we have ensured that adequate stock is available across our nationwide dealer and distribution network so that customers do not face delays. Logistics has been another key focus area—we have strengthened delivery systems and improved our online ordering and home delivery capabilities, allowing customers to receive their AC units much faster than before.

During the day, they run on solar energy; when solar power is insufficient, they automatically switch to hybrid mode using electricity. At night, they can operate through battery backup or grid power, helping customers significantly reduce energy costs. Combined with our 100% DC ProGen Inverter and robust T3 technology, our ACs are capable of delivering stable cooling performance even at temperatures as high as 60°C.
Affordability is another area we take seriously. To make air conditioners accessible to a wider range of customers, we offer flexible purchasing options, including easy instalment facilities for up to 12 months. Through partnerships with banks and financial institutions, customers can also avail attractive EMI options, including 0% interest plans for up to 36 months in some cases. Low down-payment options further ensure that middle-income households can invest in comfort without financial strain.

Imported fully built units often benefit from minimal duties, while local manufacturers face substantially higher taxes on raw materials. This imbalance creates an uneven playing field despite the significant investments made by domestic companies. Additionally, the lack of preferential policies for locally manufactured products in government procurement poses further challenges for the industry.
Despite these hurdles, demand this summer has been exceptionally strong. Sales are growing steadily, and we have prepared extensively to meet this demand through proactive production planning and inventory management. We are also working closely with our dealer network to ensure timely supply, while our installation and service teams remain ready to provide prompt support to customers. Based on current trends, we expect a significant increase in sales compared to last year.
In terms of pricing, our ACs are available across a wide range, depending on model, capacity, and features. Typically, prices start from around BDT 39,000 and can go up to BDT 80,000 or more. We frequently offer promotional benefits, including discounts, exchange offers, instalment facilities, and EMI options through most major banks. Long-term warranty coverage remains one of the key advantages we provide.
After-sales service is an area where we place the highest importance. Walton has built an extensive service network across Bangladesh, with more than 80 ISO-certified service centres and over 4,000 trained service professionals. Our customer commitment includes a 12-year compressor guarantee, five-year warranties on inverter PCB and microchannel condenser, three-year coverage on spare parts, and two years of after-sales service.
