Sports Advisor assures no issues for Hamza’s home debut at National Stadium
Since the stadium has been under renovation since August 2021, and is not yet fully completed, there was some uncertainty about whether it would be ready in time for the match

Hamza Chowdhury, who made his international debut for Bangladesh on 25 March in Shillong against India, is set to play his first match on home soil on 10 June in the Asian Cup qualifiers against Singapore.
This will be Hamza's eagerly anticipated debut in Bangladesh, and football fans are excited to see him play on home ground.
Due to his debut in Shillong, many fans missed the chance to watch him live at the stadium, but they are now eagerly looking forward to the upcoming home match.
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) plans to host the game at the Dhaka National Stadium. However, since the stadium has been under renovation since August 2021, and is not yet fully completed, there was some uncertainty about whether it would be ready in time for the match
Additionally, the National Sports Council had not formally handed over the stadium to the BFF.
Despite these concerns, Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan expressed confidence today that there would be no issues hosting the match at the National Stadium.
Speaking at a friendly match for underprivileged children held at the stadium to mark National and International Sports Day, Sajib Bhuiyan said, "The work is almost complete. I have spoken with Tabi Bhai (BFF President). BFF will do a bit more work on the grass, and our lighting and other tasks are also nearly finished. I have been informed that the ground will be ready within a month. I see no problems in hosting the match."
BFF Vice President Wahiduddin Chowdhury and General Secretary Imran Hossain were also present at the event and confirmed that they had been in discussions with the Ministry and National Sports Council regarding the stadium's readiness. Imran added, "We aim to start work on the field tomorrow. We have also requested that no one else be allocated the field for the next one to one and a half months. We hope to complete the work and preparations within the scheduled time."
