Shanto confident Bangladesh can upset India in upcoming Test series
With added momentum from their Pakistan triumph, Bangladesh will be aiming to replicate that form as they take on India.

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto expressed confidence in his team's ability to defeat India in their upcoming Test series as the squad departed for Chennai this afternoon.
The Tigers are set to play two Test matches and three T20Is, with the first Test beginning on 19 september in Chennai. The second Test will follow in Kanpur from 27 september, before the T20 series gets underway.
Fresh from their historic 2-0 series win against Pakistan, Bangladesh will enter the series with high expectations. Speaking to reporters at the airport, Shanto acknowledged the challenge ahead but remained optimistic.
"It's definitely going to be a very challenging series for us," Shanto said before boarding the flight. "After a successful series, there is extra confidence within the team and the people of the country. Every series is an opportunity, and we will play to win both matches. What matters is the process—doing the right things. If we do that, good results are possible."
Bangladesh's recent whitewash over Pakistan marked the first time they had beaten the hosts in Test cricket. Despite India posing a tougher challenge, Shanto believes his side is up for the task.
"India are much ahead of us in the rankings, but we've been playing well lately and had a good series," he continued. "Our goal is to play well for all five days. The result usually comes in the last session of the last day. If we can play solid cricket throughout, there's always a chance for either team to win in that final session."
