Shakib sends heartfelt message to Tamim, prays for his speedy recovery
Shakib Al Hasan took to Facebook on his birthday to express his concern and seek prayers for Tamim's recovery.

Bangladesh cricket was left in shock today as former captain Tamim Iqbal suffered two heart attacks during a match at the BKSP grounds in Savar, near Dhaka. The veteran cricketer was rushed to KPJ Specialised Hospital in Gazipur's Kashimpur, where doctors detected a blockage in his heart. An emergency stent was inserted to restore blood flow, and Tamim is now in stable condition, recuperating under medical supervision in the hospital's Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
In the wake of this sudden health scare, fellow cricket star and longtime teammate Shakib Al Hasan took to Facebook on his birthday to express his concern and seek prayers for Tamim's recovery. "Today is a special day for me, but my heart is not completely filled with joy because my dear teammate and friend Tamim Iqbal is unwell. We have fought many battles together on the field, shared countless memories, and I always wish for this journey to continue for a long time," Shakib wrote.
Highlighting Tamim's importance to Bangladesh cricket, Shakib added, "Tamim, you are one of the greatest strengths of Bangladesh cricket. I am praying for your swift recovery and return to the field. Insha'Allah, you will recover soon and be back among us."
In a heartfelt appeal, Shakib also requested fans to keep Tamim in their prayers. "Your prayers for Tamim would be the best gift for my birthday. Please keep him in your prayers so that my brother Tamim can recover quickly and return to the field once again!"
