Rangpur Riders announce squad for GSL title defence
Rangpur, who clinched the title in the tournament's inaugural edition in 2024, will once again be captained by the inspirational Nurul Hasan.

Defending champions Rangpur Riders have officially announced their squad for the much-anticipated 2025 Guyana Global Super League (GSL), scheduled to take place at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence from 10 to 18 July.
Rangpur, who clinched the title in the tournament's inaugural edition in 2024, will once again be captained by the inspirational Nurul Hasan. The tournament's top run-scorer from last year, Soumya Sarkar, returns, as does Kamrul Islam Rabbi, who led the bowling attack.
To strengthen the side, the Riders have enlisted West Indian top-order batter Kyle Mayers, South African left-arm wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, Pakistani all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed, and Afghanistan's top-order batter Ibrahim Zadran.
However, Rangpur officials have indicated that changes to the initial squad may be necessary, as some of their local players could be unavailable due to Bangladesh's three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, which is set to run from 10 to 16 July.
Rangpur Riders Squad:
Nurul Hasan Sohan (captain), Soumya Sarkar, Mohammed Naim Sheikh, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Saif Hassan, Abu Hider Rony, Rakibul Hasan, Yasir Ali, Kyle Mayers, Tabraiz Shamsi, Ibrahim Zadran, Iftikhar Ahmed, Akif Javed, Harmeet Singh, Khawaja Nafay.
