The HBL Pakistan Super League Player Draft 2025 is being held at the historic Huzoori Bagh in Lahore Fort on Monday. Bangladesh's Nahid Rana has been picked by Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming PSL season.

This year's PSL draft features participation from 510 overseas players representing 19 countries, including 39 cricketers from Bangladesh. Among them, Mustafizur Rahman and Shakib Al Hasan were placed in the prestigious Platinum category.

In addition to the Platinum category, five Bangladeshi players were included in the Diamond category, 11 in Gold, and 21 in Silver. During the initial round of the draft, franchises had the opportunity to select players from the Platinum category. While stars such as David Warner, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Adam Milne, Finn Allen, and Michael Bracewell secured contracts, Shakib and Mustafizur were left unselected in the first round.

However, their prospects remain alive, as PSL franchises will have the chance to pick them in the supplementary category during the later stages of the draft.

Other Bangladeshi players, including Taskin Ahmed, Rishad Hossain, Towhid Hridoy, and Hasan Mahmud, also went unselected. Taskin and Rishad were among those listed in the Diamond category. Meanwhile, Rana, the promising pacer, has been snapped up by Babar Azam's Peshawar Zalmi, marking a significant milestone for the young bowler.
