Partex players boycott practice over unpaid dues
This follows a similar situation during the previous BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), where players also boycotted practice and matches due to payment delays.

In a fresh incident concerning unpaid dues, Partex Sporting Club's players have boycotted their scheduled practice session today, in the latest fallout from unresolved payment issues.
This follows a similar situation during the previous BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), where players also boycotted practice and matches due to payment delays.
On 09 April, Partex's practice session was set to take place in Mirpur. A few players initially participated in a gym session, but later, they gathered and decided not to join the full practice. This was in response to the ongoing payment issue, and they subsequently filed a formal complaint to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). A letter was submitted to BCB's Chief Executive Officer, Nizamuddin Chowdhury, outlining their concerns.
News of the boycott quickly spread across Mirpur, with several players remaining in the gym, hoping for assurances regarding their payments. By midday, with no confirmation forthcoming, they decided to visit the BCB office. Among the players were familiar faces such as Sabbir Rahman and Mukhtar Ali. Some of the players indicated that, unless their dues were paid, they were prepared to boycott future matches as well.
Partex's owner, Mohammad Sajjad Hossain, responded by saying, "I have already paid the players, and I will pay the remaining amount. Before the league started, I paid 60% of the dues—50% initially and 10% before Eid. They did not attend practice today, but I told them that we can discuss the remaining payment after tomorrow's (Thursday) match. The league isn't over yet, and I will ensure no one's dues are left unpaid."
The club is also facing pressure due to their performance in the DPL. After nine rounds, Partex sits 11th out of 12 teams, with only two wins, still at risk of relegation. The payment issue has added extra strain to the already difficult situation.
Despite the disruption, the situation appears to have been resolved, with some players indicating that the matter was cleared up after today's incident. "Some of the money had already been paid earlier, but there were complications with the remaining dues. However, the issue has now been resolved," one player stated, confirming that practice would resume normally after the dispute was addressed.
