Mushfiqur Rahim had put up the bat with which he scored the country's first-ever double hundred in 2013 on auction to help battle the coronavirus. The whole money raised from this bat will be spent to help the bereaved people because of the pandemic.

The bat was put on auction by Sports Management company Nibco's social organisation 'Sports For Life'. The bat was on auction in online shopping site 'Pickaboo' and the base price for the bat was set at Tk 6 lacs.

But as per Tuesday morning, after 53 bids, the price currently stands at Tk 41,41,000. The auction started on 10 PM, May 9 and will finish on 10 PM, May 14.

Other than Mushfiq's bat, there are some other memorabilia from cricketers on auction from the same platform. Mosaddek Hossain's bat with which he scored a blistering fifty to secure Bangladesh's first tri-nation trophy is there and the current bid stands on Tk 3,01,002 from the base price Tk 3 lacs.

Under-19 World Cup-winning skipper Akbar Ali also put his gloves and jersey from the historic final on auction there. The current bid for those stands at Tk 1,30,000 after five bids from the base price of Tk 1 lac.

Naim Sheikh's bat from his 81-run knock against India is also on auction there. The price stands at Tk 1,28,000 after four bids from the base price of Tk 1 lacs.

Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan's bat with which he performed phenomenally in the 2019 World Cup was sold on auction from the charity organisation 'Auction 4 Action' for Tk 20 lacs.
