The team members played their roles to perfection, helping Bangladesh whitewash a formidable West Indies side in a three-match T20 series on their home ground. This stellar performance was recognised in the ICC rankings, where several Bangladeshi players achieved career-best positions.

Mehidy Hasan, named Player of the Series, has returned to the ICC T20 bowlers' rankings' top ten. Taskin Ahmed, Rishad Hossain, and several others have also risen to career-high rankings.

Mehidy enjoyed one of the best phases of his career in the West Indies, taking 8 wickets in the series without conceding more than 20 runs in a single match. This exceptional performance propelled him 13 spots up to number 10 in the rankings, marking his first return to the top ten since 2021. Just behind Mehidy in the rankings is Taskin, who has moved up seven places to a career-high 11th after taking 7 wickets in the series.

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, who has claimed 35 T20 wickets this year—the highest by any Bangladeshi in a single calendar year—also maintained his consistency in the West Indies. With 6 wickets in the three matches, Rishad leapt 21 places to his career-best ranking of 17th.

Pace bowlers Hasan Mahmud and Tanzim Hasan have also achieved career-best rankings. Hasan climbed 23 places to reach 24th, while Tanzim jumped 16 places to secure the 45th spot.

With the bat, Jaker Ali's unbeaten 72 in the third match earned him a massive leap of 85 places, taking him to 87th in the rankings.

In Test cricket, Jasprit Bumrah has set a new milestone, remaining at the top with 904 rating points. This equals the highest rating points achieved by an Indian bowler, a record set by the recently retired Ravichandran Ashwin in 2016.

Meanwhile, Travis Head climbed to fourth place in the batting rankings after centuries at Adelaide and the Gabba. Steve Smith, too, moved up a spot into the top ten following his century in Brisbane.
