The ongoing Bangabandhu T20 Cup began in late November amidst the coronavirus situation with the highest security possible. All the cricketers of the five teams, including their coaching staff, have been kept in a biosecure bubble from the very beginning of the tournament as safety protocols.  Despite all the safety measures taken for the ongoing tournament, the scare of coronavirus has spread in the last few days.
Beximco Dhaka's fast bowler Mehedi Hasan Rana has been kept in isolations amidst the biosecure bubble due to risky symptoms in him.
Rana has been suffering from cold fever and cough for the last few days. A source of Beximco Dhaka team ensured this to The Business Standard saying that he has been kept separately in Hotel Sonargaon from other members.
The chief physician of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) thinks it is Sinusitis that Rana has been suffering. He also mentioned that the player will be tested soon under BCB's supervision after a few days.
"Primarily, I think it is Sinusitis. BCB will provide blood and corona test for him soon, then we will know what actually has happened to him. For now, he has been kept in isolation," said BCB's chief physician.
Dhaka has already started looking for Rana's replacement. Normally a team would like to have a like for like substitution, but Dhaka is looking to strengthen their batting attack, so they have shown interest in the likes of Juanid Siddiquie and Alok Kapali.
Dhaka has been struggling with their batting since the start of the tournament. Specially their opening pair has raised serious concerns over the course of the matches.
Mehedi Hasan Rana played only two matches for Dhaka so far, picking up only one wicket. Dhaka is currently thinking of strengthening their batting attack after winning three from their six matches.
