Liton delighted to return to practice after difficult lockdown days
Liton feels relieved to return to practice at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Had everything been normal, the cricketers would've played truckloads of international matches, travelling across the world. But unfortunately for them as well as for the fans, there hasn't been any cricketing action in Bangladesh since March and the national team has also been away from international cricket.
Therefore, it was natural for the cricketers to be frustrated. They may have spent time at home with their families, but being away from cricket definitely made them disappointed. Wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das is no different.
"We had been playing a lot of cricket before the Covid-19 happened. We were supposed to play a lot of cricket as well. Therefore, this break was extremely disappointing. It was really hurting, not being able to go to the ground and play," said Liton.
Apart from spending time with family, the flamboyant batsman watched and analysed videos of his batting: "I spent most of the time during lockdown with my family. Besides, I watched video clips of my batting and assessed the aspects I could do better. I spoke to the coaches as well regarding this. I did some drills at home to keep myself fit too."
Liton feels relieved to return to practice at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. "It's fantastic to be back here. Because after a long hiatus, I can hold the bat and do some batting. It feels great to bat in the wickets after such a long time," he mentioned.
"We are heaving a sigh of relief because there is cricket ahead of us. So we are trying our best so that we can give our best there. Also, I can now meet my teammates regularly and share different things about cricket with them," Liton added.
"Covid-19 has pushed us back a bit. But we played confidently in our last series. I will try my level best to practice with the utmost attention. I hope we will be able to repeat the performances," Liton Das concluded.
