In the first match on Friday, Dhaka Platoon will take on Rangpur Rangers. If Dhaka win the match, they will touch Chattogram Challengers’ 16 points.

Khulna Tigers to face Cumilla Warriors Friday aiming a playoff berth

With the first three places have already been confirmed in the playoff stage of the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 Cricket, Khulna Tigers will face Cumilla Warriors on Friday aiming to book the last place of the event.

Chattogram Challengers are the first team to book a seat in the playoff. After them, Rajshahi Royals and Dhaka Platoon also marched to the last four stage of the BPL. At this stage, Khulna Tigers and Cumilla Warriors have the chance to clinch the last place.

Mushfiqur Rahim-led Khulna amassed 12 points from six wins in 10 matches while Cumilla Warriors secured 10 points from 11 games. To make their seat in the playoff, Khulna still have two more matches while Cumilla Warriors have only one chance.

In the first match on Friday, Dhaka Platoon will take on Rangpur Rangers. If Dhaka win the match, they will touch Chattogram Challengers' 16 points.

The playoff BPL will start on January 13. The 3rd and 4th team of the points table will face each other in the eliminator match. The loser of the eliminator will be out of the race while the winner will advance to the Qualifier 2.

The 1st and 2nd team of the points table will face each other in Qualifier 1. The winner of this game will advance the final while the loser will get another chance in Qualifier 2 and the winner of this game will be the 2nd team to play final of January 17 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
