Joty and Sharmin named in ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers Team of the Tournament
Bangladeshi leg-spinner Rabeya Khan was also recognised as a reserve player after an impressive tournament performance.

The ICC has announced its Team of the Tournament following the conclusion of the Women's ODI World Cup Qualifiers, with Bangladesh's Nigar Sultana and Sharmin Akter earning places in the eleven. The qualifiers ended on 19 april, with Pakistan and Bangladesh securing qualification for the main event.
The team features players from four countries, including two from Bangladesh. Pakistan lead the selection with four representatives, while the West Indies have three players included and Scotland two. Bangladeshi leg-spinner Rabeya Khan was also recognised as a reserve player after an impressive tournament performance.
Hayley Matthews of the West Indies and Pakistan's Muneeba Ali were named as the opening pair. Matthews had a stellar all-round campaign, scoring 240 runs including a century, and claiming 13 wickets. She was followed by Sharmin Akter, who ended the qualifiers as the tournament's second-highest run scorer with 266 runs and two catches.
Scotland's Kathryn Bryce, named player of the tournament, was selected in the middle order. Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana was chosen as the wicketkeeper after a consistent showing, where she scored 243 runs with a century to her name, along with two catches and three stumpings.
Pakistan's Fatima Sana was named captain of the Team of the Tournament for her leadership and all-round contributions. The squad also includes Chinelle Henry and Aaliyah Alleyne from the West Indies, Scotland's Kathryn Fraser, and Pakistani bowlers Nashra Sandhu and Sadia Iqbal.
Rabeya Khan, who claimed six wickets during the tournament, was listed among the reserves.
