Imrul returns to preliminary ODI squad for Sri Lanka series

Left-handed opening batter Imrul Kayes has returned to the national team as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the preliminary squad for the upcoming home ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Uncapped fast bowler Shahidul Islam has earned his maiden call-up to the ODI squad.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, who are currently playing the IPL in India, have also been included.

The preliminary camp involving the available players will begin on May 2 and continue till May 9.

There will be a seven-day break for Eid-Ul-Fitr after that. The series is likely to take place in late May.
