Gulshan Club launches 5th inter-club sports carnival Olympiad 2025
The announcement was made at a press conference held on Saturday at Crystal Palace, Gulshan Club, attended by journalists, members of the media, sports personalities, celebrities, business leaders and club members.
Gulshan Club Limited has officially announced the commencement of the 5th Inter-Club Sports Carnival, titled "The Gulshan Club Olympiad 2025." The much-anticipated event, which brings together some of Bangladesh's most prestigious clubs, celebrates sportsmanship, teamwork and friendship.
The announcement was made at a press conference held on Saturday at Crystal Palace, Gulshan Club, attended by journalists, members of the media, sports personalities, celebrities, business leaders and club members. The event unveiled the details of this year's Olympiad, which has become one of the largest inter-club sporting gatherings in the country.
Mr Tareq Rahman, Chairman of the Organising Committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the event.
"It gives me immense joy to welcome all participating clubs of Bangladesh to the 5th Inter-Club Sports Carnival, The Gulshan Club Olympiad 2025. What began in 2019 as a bold initiative to bring social clubs together has now grown into a signature tradition of sporting excellence, friendship and celebration," he said.
This year's Olympiad will see participation from 22 esteemed clubs, featuring 24 teams and over 1,200 athletes competing across 17 sports in 34 categories. The competition aims not only to showcase athletic excellence but also to strengthen unity and deepen the bonds among Bangladesh's diverse club communities.
Continuing his remarks, Mr Rahman added:
"As Chairman of the Organising Committee, it is my privilege to continue this remarkable journey for the fifth consecutive year. Together, let us honour the values of sportsmanship, teamwork and solidarity, creating memories today that will inspire tomorrow."
Mr M. A. Quader (Anu), President of Gulshan Club, highlighted the Club's unwavering commitment to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among its members.
He said the Club remains dedicated to "fostering family-friendly, sports-oriented and community-driven activities that enrich members' lives while upholding the Club's legacy of excellence, unity and engagement."
He also noted that the Gulshan Club Olympiad, since its inception in 2019, has played a vital role in inspiring younger generations to embrace sports and balance their professional lives with active, healthy pursuits.
Mr Rahman extended his gratitude to the President and Board of Directors of Gulshan Club and the organising committee for their steadfast support, as well as to the event's partners, whose contributions have made the Olympiad possible.
