Dewald Brevis turns bat into a sword with record ton against Australia

Dewald Brevis turned his bat into a sword and tore through the Australian bowling attack. He scored a record-breaking 125* in a blistering innings that helped South Africa claim a 53-run win in the second T20I. His knock, which included a fifty off 25 balls and a century off 41, is now the highest individual score in T20 internationals for South Africa.
After losing the toss, South Africa didn't start well, losing three wickets for just 57 runs by the seventh over. But from there, Brevis launched a counterattack. He smashed every bowler he faced, hitting two fours and five sixes to reach fifty in 25 balls. He brought up his century with nine fours and eight sixes in just 41 deliveries — the second-fastest T20I hundred for South Africa, behind David Miller's 35-ball ton against Bangladesh in 2017.
However, Brevis now holds the record for the highest individual score in T20 internationals for South Africa, surpassing Faf du Plessis's previous best of 119. Thanks to his unbeaten 125, South Africa posted 218 for 7 in their 20 overs.
In reply, despite Tim David scoring 50 off 24 balls, Australia were bowled out for 165 in 17.4 overs. The win in Darwin brought the series level for South Africa.
