Fans of Bangladesh cricket flooded social media praising the golden partnership of Shakib-Al-Hasan and Litton Kumer Das that led Tigers to victory against West Indies.

Shakib Al Hasan's unbeaten knock of 124 runs lead Bangladesh to a comfortable seven wicket win against West Indies at Taunton on Monday.

Liton Das scored unbeaten 94 runs, and this win means Bangladesh move on to the fifth spot of the points table.

The partnership of Shakib and Litton that resulted in an unbeaten 189 runs, is keeping the hopes alive for the semi-finals. 

Over seven thousand fans of Bangladesh Cricket on Facebook swamped them with congratulations and praises. 

Fans from all over the world, especially India, Pakistan, Nepal and Afghanistan, also praised their performance and wished them luck for the next match. 

The official Facebook page of ICC - International Cricket Council posted about the phenomenal win with several videos and pictures of the match.

On Twitter, renowned cricketers and cricket specialists posted the following:

Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan tweeted: “Beaten South Africa,Now again Wonderful chase by @BCBtigers against the windies. It was pure brilliance by @Sah75official to win the game for them #BANvsWI”.

Another Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh also tweeted, but in Bangla: “Khuuuuuuuubbbb bhalo @Sah75official @ICC @StarSportsIndia @BCBtigers”

Russel Arnold, former Sri Lankan cricketer posted on Twitter: “Shakib @Sah75official On the prowl... showing not only that he is the Worlds No1 allrounder but making a statement that he is a World class batsman too. Congratulations #CWC2019 #BANvsWI Wonderfull knock”

Former South African cricketer Albie Morkel tweeted: Great chase by Bangladesh, shows that their game against the Proteas was not a once of..”

Isa Guha, English commentator and former English cricketer, posted on Twitter: “Why has Liton Das not played in this #cwc19  until now??? #BANGvWI”

Indian cricketer R P Singh expressed his thought on Twitter: “For a moment I thought Liton will go for 6 sixes but nevertheless a historical win for @BCBtigers all hail @Sah75official top man  
#BANvWI #CWC19”

One of the notable commentators from Bangladesh, Chowdhury Jafarullah Sharafat, also congratulated the Tigers for their stunning performance and win through his Facebook profile.
