BCB eyes election commission formation, dissolves regional ad-hoc bodies
The board approves the formation of a three-member Election Commission to oversee the next BCB elections.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has taken a series of key decisions in the third meeting of its ad-hoc Committee, with a primary focus on the upcoming board elections.
The board approved the formation of a three-member Election Commission to oversee the next BCB elections.
The commission will include one representative from either the Ministry of Youth and Sports or the National Sports Council (NSC), alongside two members nominated by the BCB.
As part of the electoral process, the board said a formal notice will soon be issued to invite nominations for councillors from all categories, in line with Article 12.7 of the BCB Constitution.
In another significant move, the BCB dissolved the existing ad-hoc committees of the regional cricket associations in Chattogram, Sylhet and Barishal with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the board also approved Coca-Cola Bangladesh as the official drinking water and beverage partner of the BCB for a two-year period.
