Bangladesh win toss and elect to bat in crucial second ODI against Sri Lanka
Despite a promising start with both bat and ball, Bangladesh fell to a disappointing 77-run defeat in the opening match.

Bangladesh captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz has won the toss and chosen to bat first in the second One-Day International against Sri Lanka, as they aim to keep the three-match series alive with a victory at the R. Premadasa Stadium today.
Despite a promising start with both bat and ball, Bangladesh fell to a disappointing 77-run defeat in the opening match. They will now look to bounce back and level the series. Aware of the spin threat likely to increase as the match progresses, Miraz had no hesitation in opting to bat first.
Adding to the visitors' challenges, head coach Phil Simmons will be absent from the dugout for this match, having travelled to the UK for a previously scheduled medical appointment.
