Army Archery Club dominate in archery in Bangladesh Games

Out of the total ten gold medals, Dhaka Army Archery Club excelled with 4 gold medals and a maximum of 6 medals.

Eight gold medals have been settled on the last day of archery in Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh on Tuesday. 

Out of the total ten gold medals, Dhaka Army Archery Club excelled with 4 gold medals and a maximum of 6 medals. Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) came second with 5 medals including 2 golds. Bangladesh Police Archery Club is in the third position of the list with 6 medals including 2 gold.

In the recurve men's singles final held on Tuesday, Ram Krishna Saha of Bangladesh Air Force defeated Md. Tamimul Islam of Bangladesh Police Archery Club by 6-5 set points to win the gold medal.

In the women's recurve singles final, Nasreen Akhter of Dhaka Army Archery Club won the gold medal by defeating Mosammat Nazmin Khatun of Bangladesh Ansar 6-0. Mehnaz Akhter Monira of the Army Club won the bronze medal.

In the men's compound singles final, Asim Kumar Das of Bangladesh Police Archery Club won the gold medal by defeating BGB's Newaz Ahmed Rakib by a score of 148-141. Md. Ashiquzzaman of Bangladesh Police won the bronze medal.

In the women's compound singles final, Roxana Akhter of Dhaka Army Archery Club won the gold by defeating BKSP Puspita Zaman 147-141. Bonya Akhter of Bangladesh Ansar won a bronze medal in that event.

Bangladesh Olympic Association(BOA) Secretary-General Syed Shahed Reza distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest at the end of the archery competition. Bangladesh Olympic Association Vice President Sheikh Bashir Ahmed was present as the special guest.
