Apparels Village dethrone Bando Design to win Ascent Cup Premier League final

After nine days of exciting football we come to the finals – 30 Corporate teams worked their way up in both the Premier League and the Championship League and all their hard work paid off as they played for the Cup and the plates for their respective leagues.

The games summarized below are the finals of the Championship game and the premier league.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE FINALS

ELITE FORCE      VS       INFOTITAN   :   7-2

The two teams lined up for the National Anthem in solemn pride , hand in chest , both praying for a win, both with expectations of lifting the Gold trophy.

Infotitans played the game of their lives , while Elite Force remained calm , calculating and simply dominated the pitch , Elite was in for the kill today Shahriar  Joy streaking like bolts of lightning to take his score to 20 goals this Tournament – the top candidate for the "Highest Goal Scorer" .

From the second half , Elite went in for the slaughter and the game leaped to a different level , Infotitans proved that they were no pushovers and managed 2 brilliant goals but in the End Elite Force took the Championship Cup and Infotitans the runners up.  The goal scorers were Shahriar Joy -2, Shakil-03, Rabioul-02 for Elite Force and Hridoy and  Mahbub 1 each for Infotitans .

These two teams will be promoted to the Premier League next year .

THE PREMIER LEAGUE FINALS

BANDO DESIGN     VS        APPARELS VILLAGE LIMITED  : 1-2

 3 times back-to-back champions, 9 times runners up Bando Design arrived at the game in pomp & glory, a stride only betting reigning champions as they faced Apparels Village Limited , a two time returnee and a brilliant rookie team participating. 

Before the start of the game the Hall was graced with the Vice President of BFF , Mr. Fahad Karim and the Coach of the Woman's National Team , Mr Peter Butler. Apparels Village took the fight instantly at the start of play.

AVL was a tactical team strategizing every moment of the game. Mridul, Mubabark, Mamun, Imran, Bando Legends of the game knew immediately that AVL was a force to reckon with , there was trepidation on the pitch as AVL in the first 3 minutes of the game, tore the nets with the first goal by Mukul ! Fans in jubilation raided the pitch , the scales of the game tilted instantly.

From then on AVL controlled the game, Imran of Bando put one away in a brilliant shot that had AVL hapless, they didn't know what hit them. It was however , Tuhin's goal that drew the curtains on the 3 time back to back Champions and today we have a new Champion Apparels Village Limited. Mukul & Tuhin of AVL scored 1 goal each and Imran of Bando 1 .

CLOSING CEREMONY

Mr. Fahad Karim , Vice President of the Bangladesh Football Federation was the Chief Guest along with Mr Peter Butler, Head Coach of the Women's Team in BFF, the winners of the SAFF Cup was a special guest.

Mr Zubair Ahmed , Director of Ascent Group , the title Sponsor, Mr Fedae Dastgir , Director of Securex, the Co-Sponsor , Ms Ameena Ali, Head of Business Development, Renaissance Décor, the prize sponsors were all on stage to give away the prizes . Mr Fahad Karim was pleasantly surprised, attending the Ascent Cup for the first time and appreciated how far the game of Futsal has come in Bangladesh. He said that the BFF is focused on the development of Futsal and invited the Excalibur Entertainment team to sit and discuss on ways to promote the game further to International standards.

The STM Hall exploded as the trophies were handed out, Elite Force , the Championship league winners were heralded onto the pitch by smartly uniformed employees of the Organization just as Apparels Village Limited with their Colleagues.
