Their team's manager Hannan Sarkar has confirmed the news of the injury to the media and they await further news on the extent of the injury.

Ankle injury forces Saifuddin to leave training on crutches

With the Bangabandhu T20 Cup just two days away, Minister Group Rajshahi have been dealt a big blow.

Their star all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin has injured his left ankle during training. 

As a result, he has had to strap up the ankle and lead training on crutches.

Their team's manager Hannan Sarkar has confirmed the news of the injury to the media and they await further news on the extent of the injury. 

"During training, he has got ankle injury. He is now under observation of team physio and BCB medical team. Treatment is going on under the medical protocol of BCB. Physio will inform a further update of his progress tomorrow," Hannan said.

Rajshahi's squad took part in a training session on Sunday morning at the Sher-e-Bangla National cricket stadium in Mirpur.

The five-team tournament which begins on Tuesday will see Rajshahi facing off Beximco Dhaka in the opener.

Rajshahi's team management will be hoping the injury is not too serious and Saifudding can be back as soon as possible.
