Akbar receives heroes ovation at Rangpur

Bangladesh Under-19 skipper Akbar Ali was greeted with a grand welcome at his hometown Rangpur after he returned home winning the ICC U-19 World Cup.

Since the plane carrying Akbar touched down the Saidpur Airport, Akbar's name was chanted by the crowd. Akbar was touched by such celebrations from the fans and said that he will try to do even better in the future.

Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Mostafizur Rahman was present at the airport to receive Akbar. Akbar was then felicitated with flowers at the Public Library field in Rangpur by the District Sports Association and District Administration.
After the felicitation, Akbar returned to his home at Jummabar to his family.
