The Summer I Turned Pretty’s Gavin Casalegno reacts to fan backlash
Gavin Casalegno, who plays Jeremiah Fisher in 'The Summer I Turned Pretty', says he's unfazed by the online criticism aimed at his character.
In an interview with The New York Times, the actor admitted Jeremiah "tends to be disliked," often overshadowed by his brother Conrad (Christopher Briney).
While Casalegno avoids social media, he said his sister occasionally shares memes, which he finds "pretty funny." He continues, " I think it's important to also understand and realise that this is a fictional story — and it's also not me."

Ahead of Season 3, Amazon posted a PSA reminding fans of a "zero tolerance" policy for bullying, following toxic debates between "Team Conrad" and "Team Jeremiah."
